2026 Cross Exam Bootcamp

Cross-examination is the most dangerous weapon in a litigator's arsenal - and the most misused.

This program is held at the Grimsby Law Chambers, located at 166 Main Street West, Grimsby, Ontario, L3M 1S4.

This intensive, small-cohort program pairs each candidate with a coach for hands-on, recorded cross-examination exercises built around real-world scenarios. You won't be lectured at. You'll be put to work.

Each candidate receives a sample scenario and works with their coach to develop a theory of the case and a structured line of questioning. The focus is on leading questions done right: one question, one fact. Pinpoint the fact. Build the setup. Lay the trap.

You'll be recorded performing your cross. Then your coach demonstrates how they would run it — and delivers direct, meaningful feedback designed to sharpen your instincts and tighten your technique.

Each candidate completes 2–3 exercises per session.

This program won't make you an expert in a day. It's designed to do something more valuable: teach you how to plan a cross, build your approach, and start developing your theory through reps, pressure, and practice.
